On Thursday Afternoon, Mary, Sarah, and I met at the mall in Merrillville in hopes of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ! God gave us opportunities to do just that and we ask for your prayers for those souls.

Andrew, Colin, Kyle,& ? - 4 guys that were eager to participate in our survey, They were having a lot of fun. Andrew was the grandson of a pastor of a christian church and the rest said that they were christians that belonged to a non-denominational church. They all said that they were good people but failed the test. They were reasonable enough to see that they deserved Hell for their sins. Just then ? became so angry and left. We apologized to the three that were left and they told us to continue and that he would be fine. They wanted to hear more. Well, we asked them if they knew what God had done for them and they knew of John 3:16. When we started asking and talking about repentance and being born again...they had no clue of what we were talking about. We shared some verses like John 3:3 and Luke 15:10. They all owned bibles and said that they would read about it. They were very respectful and thankful for us talking with them. We gave them some tracts, prayed together, and told them of some websites to visit. We also gave them a tract to give to their friend who had left.
 
Megan, Courtney,& Natalie - Megan knew all of the 10 commandments from a song she had learned in 2nd grade. She sang us the song and yes it was cute. Courtney and Natalie could not name any of them. They also failed the good person test and said that they would still go to heaven because God forgives everybody. We pretended we were in a courtroom and used that analogy to show them just how much more just God is. We asked them if they thought God would let in rapists, child molesters, and serial killers... right away they said "no". Then we asked if God should let in thieves, and liars. We talked about James 2:10 and finally by the looks on their faces and their convicted hearts we shared with them the good news and stressed the fact that Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into heaven where he is ALIVE today. We encouraged them to repent from their sins, name them and forsake them and to place their faith in Jesus for salvation. They had bibles at home and said that they would start reading the book of John. They allowed us to pray together and left with tracts.
 
Matt & Anthony - We had an amazing conversation! After going through the Way of the Master and them realizing that they deserve Hell, they really wanted answers. After explaining, listening, and answering questions they said that they didn't want to put it off any longer. They looked very concerned so we gave them a "One Heartbeat Away" book by Mark Cahill along with some tracts they were very thankful for the stuff and the talk.
