Adela, Lorna, Mary and I ask for your prayers when we went Witnessing at the Mall...
Please pray for:
Jesus, Jose, Cruz, and Adrian - 4 catholic guys who said that the way into heaven is through sacraments and confession. After hearing the truth, they admitted to never reading the bible and expressed that they did want to live in the truth. They were very thankful for the conversation and received our tracts.
2 Women whose names we did not receive - We did not get very far with these women who said they were baptist. They became very hostile when they realized that they have sinned, and are guilty of breaking His laws. They didn't make themselves clear but it seemed as if they believed all religions lead to God. Their hearts were not ready to hear the Gospel so we thanked them for their time and they left very upset.
Lindsay and Kristin - These 2 girls had a friend who stepped back when we approached them but listened to everything. We had the opportunity to go through the WOTM. They had heard from somewhere that we are at end times and were asking questions about that, after hearing the truth they were very happy to know that there is a way for them to get into heaven.
Josh and Mark - 2 guys who totally surprised us. Mark knew the right answer, but was not born again. Josh didn't know any commandments but was very happy that we were talking to them. Josh had been searching! 2 weeks ago he opened a bible for the first time and closed it because he didn't understand it. Since then, God has been on his mind and there we were talking to them. We shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ and we encouraged them to read the book of John. I shared with them that John was the first book I had read when I was searching. Josh had the biggest smile on his face! They accepted our tracts and were really thankful for talking with them.
Quintette and Dominick - Mother and Son who once belonged to a christian church in Gary. She seemed to be influenced by Oprah and had different beliefs than those of christian beliefs. She became very defensive when we told her that those beliefs were not in the bible. After us assuring her that it is not our intentions to attack her rather to tell them the truths of the bible, she calmed down. She was very confused and admitted to wanting to read the bible again. We encouraged her to do so and left her with some tracts. They were very thankful @ the end for us sharing with them.
Dave and Cindy - A married catholic couple who all they talked about was the catechism and sacraments. We went through the WOTM and they saw their sin and agreed that they needed salvation. After sharing the gospel and personal testimony they admitted to never have read the bible or have taught their kids anything about God. Cindy became very emotional and talked about her father's death and she was so sure that he is in heaven. Not knowing how to respond to that at the moment we pleaded with her to get right with God by repenting from sin and placing their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. We asked them to start reading the book of John and they thankfully accepted our tracts. Dave asked us to pray for him.
Tyler - A grandson of a baptist pastor. Tyler didn't know any of the 10 commandments or the good news of Jesus Christ. He became so convicted of his sin and by the look on his face he was really sad about it. He was very concerned and was just soaking it all in. The look on his face completely changed when he realized that there was a way for him into heaven. He was very excited about this information and took our tracts.
Thank you, God Bless.
